A South African commodity trading and brokering firm built on integrity, commercial experience, and deep networks across African resource markets.
Peregrine Resource Management (Pty) Ltd was established in 2023 and is headquartered in the Mossel Bay area of the Western Cape, South Africa. We operate at the intersection of African resource supply and global commodity demand — facilitating physical commodity transactions across minerals, metals, and agricultural products.
Our focus is entirely on physical commodity trading and brokering. We do not trade derivatives or paper instruments. Every transaction we facilitate involves real, verified supply and qualified demand — a discipline that demands rigorous due diligence and durable commercial relationships.
Our directors bring extensive on-the-ground experience operating across 14 African countries — including Sierra Leone, Ghana, Cameroon, the Central African Republic, DRC, Mozambique, Namibia, Ethiopia, Liberia, Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Angola. This breadth of exposure means Peregrine understands the regulatory, logistical, and commercial realities of African resource markets far beyond what can be learned from a desk.
From mines and farms across Sub-Saharan, West, East, and Central Africa to buyers in global markets, Peregrine bridges the gap between producers and off-takers — managing the full scope of each transaction from initial evaluation through to final delivery.
Peregrine is led by two directors with complementary expertise — combining commercial acumen, market knowledge, and operational experience to serve clients on both sides of the commodity trade.
Carel leads business development and buyer relations at Peregrine. With extensive experience in South African commerce and commodity markets, he focuses on identifying qualified demand across mineral and metal commodity lines and structuring transactions that deliver consistent value to both counterparties.
His deep understanding of African resource markets and global buyer requirements positions Peregrine as a trusted intermediary in complex physical commodity deals.
Adriaan oversees supplier relationships and operational management at Peregrine. He is responsible for ensuring the integrity of supply chains and the quality of commodities across all active portfolios — from initial supplier assessment through to logistics coordination and delivery compliance.
His operational discipline and attention to process detail underpin Peregrine's commitment to executing transactions that meet the highest commercial standards.
Extensive on-the-ground experience across Sub-Saharan, West, East, and Central Africa — navigating complex regulatory environments, building verified supplier networks, and facilitating commodity transactions in some of the continent's most resource-rich and challenging markets.
